Sorry, haven't checked the thread in a few days.

In case anyone cares, the speculation about how I got some Hophead at Cooper Street on Saturday afternoon is exactly right. Drinkvine (god bless 'em) told me that there were 44 (not 14) bottles in stock. So I went. The first employee I spoke to claimed to have no idea (standard LCBO employee response, sadly) and was no help whatsoever. I was about to leave but then I remembered that there is a very good beer guy (Bill) at this store if you are lucky enough to be there when he is working. I hung around for about 10 minutes and sure enough he appeared from somewhere. After waiting forever while he helped some idiot procure five cases of 24 cans of Lakeport (I am not making this up) I asked him about the Hophead and he very promptly found it in the back for me. I bought half a dozen so there should have been 38 left at that point (about 1 p.m. Saturday).

I have a feeling it never did make it to the shelves.

I stopped in Sat. around 6:30 and there were 15-20 bottles on display. I bought 2. I was also tipped off by Drinkvine.

the Curmudgeon will role out over the next few weeks. im off from Grand River until March 14th dealing with other un-related life complications but once im back there will be a big push of Curmudgeon into the province.

to those that pm'd me about the Curmudgeon, i wont be able to follow up until after the 14th.

Its in the warehouse too, on bond. I think every warehouse has a good supply of Panil and Gemini.

Thanks for the info.

Dumd question: what does it mean for something to be "on bond" in a warehouse?

Its not a dumb question at all.

My understanding is that the on bond message I can see from my work means that the product is still awaiting clearance/customs approval.

My mouth is watering thinking of the panil. I dont have much experience with sours, so I cant wait to dive into them. Its a great price too. Thats is perhaps the one good thing about the lcbo. The imports are dirt cheap when you compare them to prices in the states.
