Phillips Amnesiac and LTM Rauchbier on clearance at Crossroads LCBO ( Weston / 401 ). Both marked for $5.50. There were maybe 10 Phillips left but only two LTM.

Not so fast my miserly friend.

DUGGAN'S #9 IPA comes in at $9.95/6 pack. Thats $1.65/ 275 ml bottle.

That's 0.006 cents per ml.

Sinha's 330 ml bottles also come in at 0.006 cents per ml.

WE HAVE A TIE!!!
(even though i'll take Sinha over Duggan's any day).
The thread is titled 'BEST' cheap beer at the LCBO/Beer Store. Not sure anything from Duggan's would fit this category.
I don’t care what the U.N. says, I don’t recognize countries that don’t produce beer.

6 x 355 ml (2130 ml) for $12.75
Comes to $0.0059 per ml

I don't care if they called it Testy Juice and had the labels to go with it, as long as they don't change the recipe, I'd still guzzle it. I'm sure I'm under estimating some psychological factors here.

Got the last bottle of Phillips. It was on an unusual shelf for a beer, so I ended up looking for it for a little while. Rep said he brought out about 5 cases last week and it went very fast. LTM is gone too.

It was in the same place as they had the Philips Hop Circle a few months ago, in the clearance section. There usually isn't any beer there, just a bunch of wine and novelties that didn't move over Christmas but I'm going to start checking there more thoroughly just in case. Twice I've been pleasantly surprised from stuff marked for clearance there.

I've bought a few cases of Formosa at $14.40 a 12 pack on sale and caved and when I saw a six pack of trois pistoles.
If you have it near you, Schneider Aventinus is a great beer. For $2.75 @ 8.2%, it comes in at $0.0067 per ml. It may price just behind Sinha, but drinkability in warm weather has boost this dark wheat beer up some.

And congratulations on heading to brewing school. Is that Niagara you're talking about?

When it was available, La Trappe Quad!
Larger than two standard beers, for under $8.00. 10% alcohol, and my favourite beer of all time. An absolute steal!

Check out: PAULANER SALVATOR | LCBO 926121 | 330 mL bottle | $ 1.80

Nice beer at 7.5% that drinks like a meal. Possible the cheapest beer.

I would also say Paulaner Hefe Weißbier is a good one as well. If the TBS still carries fresh six packs? You want a value Weisse, there you go.

It is a good one and I often get it fresh at local TBS. Good call!

I usually stock some Upper Canada Lager in my fridge as an all around cheap beer. It's about $16 a 12 but throw in your returns from the last 12 and your down to $15 apprx. A 24 is under $30. It tastes better then any other cheap beers I have tried.

I also like to grab some Fullers ESB, it sells for about $2.65 for a tall can and is 5.9% alc. For just over $10 you get almost a 6 pack worth of a decent pale ale. There porter is nice as well.
