Huh, when I checked the online inventory RIGHT before i posted it was limited to a few stores in Toronto. Glad to see its getting wider distribution, but alas nothing near St. Catharines yet. :(

+1

Somehow.. awful smell + funky taste = delicious overall drinking experience..

I'll bet everything we're seeing so far is from the Toronto warehouse, I think Hamilton/London/St.Catherines all get their stuff from the London warehouse. Good stuff this Cuvee Renee.

Lindeman's Gueuze arrived in Kingston. Not shelved yet but I got 12 out of the back area in a tidy little box. No frigging handle on it and they sure could improve the carrying qualities by making it an old school 2x6 pack but, still, a neat little 12 pack for the stash.

Wow. Living in St. Catherines and patiently waiting on the LCBO to bring you interesting stuff must be about as fun as getting anally impaled and patiently waiting for your body to just adjust to the pain instead of dying. Kudos to you, sir.

I would have assumed that it's more of a "But I'm missing the cook off!!!" sort of impatience, kind of experience.

But yeah... your explanation makes sense too... (Backs out of the room slowly...)

Its not Vlad the Impaler bad...jeesh. Its more like living in a crack den across a pond from a mansion. I'm a well adjust young man, who just happens to live in a crack den and then looks across the pond and sees this rich yuppie type with a boat and fancy cars drinking his yuppie beer. And I think, it sure would be nice to have those things, but then I look at my cracked out nieghbours...and I don't know where I was going with this...damn it! Alright...St. Catharines does kinda suck. And I just want my Geuze!

Well if you got off the crack, maybe you could get a job in Toronto where all the good beer properly belongs.

I agree the Dominus Vobiscum is a nice, nice Blanche. It's as though people get very blasé about ALL blond and white styles, so good ones fly under the radar.

DVB is definately the best witbier I've ever had. The texture is so soft and velvety it's almost unreal. Like a soft down pillow for your tongue. It's going to be a 5 on mouthfeel for sure when I get around to reviewing it.

I always enjoy the DVB when I'm in Quebec. Hoping the sales from this will encourage the LCBO to bring in a couple other charlevoix beers.

No kidding.
I don’t care what the U.N. says, I don’t recognize countries that don’t produce beer.
