Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

Yesterday at Brewery Vivant:
Brewery Vivant Triomphe Belgian IPA (draught)
Brewery Vivant Farm Hand Ale (draught)
Brewery Vivant Big Red Coq Hoppy Belgian Ale (draught)
Brewery Vivant Heavy Handed Double Chocolate Stout (draught)
Then at the 9th Annual Founders Harvest Party:
Founders Harvest Ale (draught)
Founders Berserker 37 (draught)
Founders Honey Harvest (draught)
Founders Breakfast Stout (bottle)
Founders Pale Ale (draught)
Had an awesome time with nicktbm and our significant others. The Harvest Party was absolutely wild and it's obvious that craft beer has deeply permeated the local culture here. Today we're going to the Bagel Beanery for lunch (thanks for the reco, grub!), International Beverage for some bottles, Graydon's Crossing for dinner, then back home to Canada!

Continuing the Bday weekend with JB84 and friends:
a bunch of Red Racer throughout the day
Weihenstephaner Kristall Weissbier
Lindemans Faro
Ayinger Altbairisch Dunkel
(those were for the ratebeer "all styles" award, or whatever the f$@% its called, however, we still need a malt liquor, which would have been completed today if the lcbo didn't close at 5)
(A little help if possible, what is more drinkable, OE or Colt 45, is there a better option?? )
AleSmith YuleSmith Imperial Red Ale
AleSmith Old Numbskull
AleSmith Wee Heavy Scotch Ale
In the "Please don't be upset, we didn't use it all up" category.
We did a 2:1 AleSmith Speedway Stout - ST Pumking Blend...GLORIOUS!!
And then we finished the rest of the Speedway and Pumking. Pumpkin Stouts should be more common.
We also finished a bottle of Glenfiddich Snow Phoenix throughout the night (highly recommended if you like scotch, surprisingly the same price here as in Buffalo. A big thanks to Greg for the great review of it a few months back)
A bunch of black sambuca shots....probably not the best of ideas, especially the ones we lit on fire...
We continue tomorrow as that's the actual party. Anyone that wants to join is welcome, just message me, it'll be in Kitchener.
On a side note, one of the best parts of today was enjoying the beers with friends who don't usually drink craft beer. John and I have done this on occasion, but not so far as to have offered up something like AleSmith. The beer was very well recieved, but unfortunately, there's absolutely nothing in Ontario that could compare to what was had that I could recommend .
