Man - I drank so much of this stuff last year! Can't wait to get some!
Lava is nice but only occasionally for me. I often find that I`m not in the mood for so much smoke in my stout.

I was thinking about this yesterday while having a St. Ambroise RIS - I actually like the 341ml size for that beer and wouldn't mind it if the Lava also came in that.

Does anyone know whether KONINGS HOEVEN QUAD is coming back this winter? I`m seeing it listed in the database, and I thought it was unlisted some time ago. Wouldn`t mind sipping on a few of these babies, while we wait for St. Bernies and Chimay Blue to come in. What`s the LCBO up to this time?

BTW, I must say Chimay White (which at first I rather disliked as a tripel) just keeps getting better and better with age. I`m glad the BO hung on to these for a while. Should have done the same with Westmalle. It`s amazing what a little shelf life can do to a well made beer.

Olvisholt Lava was erroneously marked at 8.95 at Queen's Quay (nice big sign on the stack of cartons) but actual price should still be 5.80.

Unless there's a free Icelandic massage included. By a Bjork clone. Near a cozy steaming volcano.

I went to the tasting at the LCBO for this lineup, and I have to say that the LAVA is the only one that made me giggle. Usually that's a good sign, when I'm in a room full of people I'm supposed to be professional around and I break down giggling because something tastes good.

I picked up some Aventinus today thinking it was their ice bock. Turns out they are just stocking the normal version. I'm a bit disappointed, where else can you get a 12% beer for under 3 bucks. Any word on if it will be back again?

If I remember correctly, Eisboch went for $4.25. But yeah it was still a bargain, compared to other boozy beers. No plans to resurrect as far as I know.

Eisbock! I knew something was missing this year! I wonder why? They sold tonnes of it in Peterborough. And it's been around for four years? I'll really miss this one. I may have to dig out a couple from the cellar. Anyone seen it in Buffalo? Or is it not being made this year?

I was looking for it this year. Last year at this time I had it for the first time. At the Christmas dinner I noticed I was feeling good but kinda tipsy. I then looked at the bottle closely and saw the ABV!
