Great news! I just finished off my last bottle a couple of weeks ago and it still tasted great.

Good News - yesterday a truck full of Hophead Double IPA 650ml bottles left our brewery headed for the LCBO.

Look for Hophead Double IPA to be in LCBO stores Feb 26 2012

I'm getting proud of some Canadian IPA's. Even some DIPAs - the Phillips Amnesiac was so delicious from the LC clearout store last summer, I wish I'd bought all of it (was something like 3.50 a bomber.)

Amnesiac is such a great brew, that was even cheaper than it costs out west.

Yes I was going to mention that while out West the other fine supplier of Double IPA's among other styles is Phillips...particularly loved the Longboat Chocolate porter...forgot how many Amnesiac's I had... :D

Ontario gets a really great price.

Tree's DIPA was $7.95 in BC last year. I really like it and buy it, but the Amnesiac is only $4.95. That's a tough sell for Tree. For the limited quantity released in BC, it might make more sense to skip the government listing and just put it in the private stores. Then again, it does sell at $7.95, so why not make a profit!

Last year I thought it was a little maltier than previous releases...

For 2012, it seems to be bit more hop-forward again, with just enough malt to back it up. It hides the booze EXTREMELY well.

Will it sell-out quicker than last year? Probably. Don't miss out!

Yes, I agree.... all smiles........and how many LCBO's will I have to visit to track this down? Maybe it would be easier to fly over there to Kelowna, ski at Silver Star, and visit Tree..would I save any money? Probably not, but I'd have fun :D

Everybody is doing it...

Silver Star has $10 evening lift tickets (starting at 3:30), and a stop at Village Green Liquor in Vernon makes a nice trip (I haven't made it out to Big White yet).

But it better me a last minute flight... Tree only had a few cases left in stock!
