Bieres du Monde is looking at opening a second location in Aylmer.

I stopped in there for the first time today to pick up some Solstice d'Ete. Great selection, even if lugging a bunch of beer through the mall is kind of annoying. Picked up a random Solstice d'Hiver from last November as well, so that was cool.

The 2013 LTM Porter Baltique Edition Speciale aged in bourbon and brandy casks is in the usual Gatineau stores now. Picked mine up at Omni and there were about a dozen left on the shelves.

$14.99 + dep. + tax. Worked out to about 17 a bottle. I only bought one.

This was at Omni. Not sure about the prices at Bieres du Monde or Broue Ha Ha.

Same at Bieres du Mondes. I grabbed two tonight. They had about 15 left that I could see. Loving that place, I always end up standing around sampling things and talking beer with them.

Bought 6, tasted one last night, was out-freaking-standingly delicious. Way better than the 2010 barrel aged BP.

Rapido still has some left if anyone is looking for it.

They also still have Solstice d'Ete in singles and 4pks as well.

If anybody has an extra drop me a PM. Will not be getting up that way until January the earliest and would love to try one.

That's a pretty aggressive expansion for Bieres du Monde. I find their prices higher than my other usual suspects on the Quebec side but they also do a lot of promotions on Facebook to bring the prices down.

With Brou Ha Ha planning on moving to a bigger location, the craft beer market in Gatineau must be growing pretty fast.

Won't be long before Gatineau has more stores selling craft beer than Ottawa has Beer Stores.

Wow, that's quite the expansion. The original location at the mall is still most convenient for me, but good for them I suppose.

Does Broue Ha Ha have a location in mind or just rumours? I was in there today looking for glassware. Gilles gave me the biggest 'WTF' look ever when I walked out without any bottles in hand.

Also, I rarely go to BDT, but are any of their BA offerings worth the $24.99 price? Seems a bit steep to me.

I haven't even bought their regular offerings in the bottle. It's all way overpriced IMHO, especially at a store with DDC, LTM, Charlevoix, Le Castor for sale at a lower price.

There are very few bottles from ANY brewery worth that kind of price tag from my perspective.

The one or two barrel-aged beers I've had from them over the years were fine (on tap anyway), but I can't justify even half that price for a bottle of anything I've had from them.

I adore their Mea Magna Culpa aged in bourbon. To me it's worth it.

I really don't have a problem with their prices, they are a brewpub. They are not in production and would rather you come in to their establishment and buy the beer there. If they made it significantly cheaper to drink at home that demand would overwhelm them and they wouldn't be able to bottle it fast enough based on their current set up.

I love a lot of their beers and purposely go to the brewpub at lunch by myself just so that I can enjoy one.
