I hadn't heard of them up until I saw this post. Looking online it certainly looks promising and I am glad that the beer is in 750 formats. How is their stuff?
Not that I put much weight into Untappd ratings, but on there they are the highest rated brewery in Ontario, and 4th highest in Canada. I've had ~4 or so beers from them and all have been good.Cadbury102 wrote:I hadn't heard of them up until I saw this post. The 'Club' membership looks pretty interesting... $190 for 8x 750mL one-off beers, plus a tshirt and glass. A bit pricey but not horrible. Would be nice to know the shipping costs too.
Ya. I took the plunge only having had a sample of the Jam Hands. I thought it was very good. Friends in Ottawa have had more and give them top marks. The various sites seem to show pretty uniformly good reviews.
I am assuming shipping for the eight bottles will be in the $40 range or so.
I kinda wish more of the good breweries in Ontario had these kind of clubs. The people I know with Bruery, Rare Barrel and Night Shift memberships seem to really enjoy them.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I looked at ordering 6 bottles to Etobicoke and it was only $16 or so in shipping. Seems reasonable. I'll give em a try!

If anyone else in Toronto, or nearby, wants to split a club membership, I'd be up for that.
Seems you get 2x of each bottle, so makes sense.
Could toss coins for the shirt vs glass, or I'd even forfeit them both for paying a bit less than 1/2 the cost of the club.

According to their Instagram feed, the first release is being bottled this week. Looks interesting.
Looks like memberships are still available too.

I got my first package of club beers, plus some extras I ordered, yesterday. Packing is great, shipping is reasonable. The online ordering process to have club bottles mailed is straightforward.
My only small gripe is as an older guy with a little bit of extra weight in the usual areas, I am a little disappointed with the thin 50/50 cotton/poly blend shirt that is included in the club membership. I find that these shirts, which I realize are much more popular nowadays than the 100% cotton types, make even a guy carrying an extra 10-15 pounds look like a sausage.
The glass is nice an heavy if that is what you like.

Based on the fabric or the cut of the shirt?Coronaeus wrote: My only small gripe is as an older guy with a little bit of extra weight in the usual areas, I am a little disappointed with the thin 50/50 cotton/poly blend shirt that is included in the club membership. A little bit of both. I find those 50/50 shirts cling to you and are often cut a little tighter.

For those who signed up for the Small Pony Culture Club...are you going to renew for 2019 or not?
What is your reason for continuing or stopping?
I signed up for 2018 but have yet to pick up my bottles...waiting for that last one to drop. I've enjoyed the couple non-Club beers I've had from them but am currently leaning towards not renewing only because there is so much other beer out there to enjoy.

I haven't decided yet. I've added to each release to fill a six shipper. I've only had one bottle so far, and traded away a couple. I liked what I had a lot, but the cellar is getting too full. I'm leaning towards taking the year off. But knowing myself as well as I do, It is likely I will 'pony' up at the last minute....

Haha...ya, I'm in cellar reduction mode as well.
I likely won't decide until after the last release is done for this year and I pick up all my bottles.

These guys are good
Only drinkable when you can find them on tap at Arabella though because their website prices bring the absolute lulz

Honestly I don’t get it though
They charge $16 for a single 355ml bottle when you buy direct, but at Arabella you get a full pour for around $9
I want that Jam Hands!
