Just got back from a week in the Dominican Republic where my "all you can swallow" resort featured Presidente...you know, after about the 10th Pina Colada it's pretty good stuff...that's my report on the Dominican beer scene!!! (I should add, there was some other Dominican beer in my minibar but everytime I got around to it I couldn't find my glasses so I don't the name of it!)

I will take a Presidente in the Dominicon over a Corona in Mexico any day of the week!

Esprit, was the beer in your room Quisqueya (odd shaped brown bottle)? I was in Punta Cana a couple of years ago on my honeymoon and that’s what they stocked the minibar with. I actually preferred that over the Presidente, but as you say, when it's all you can "swallow" and the sun is hot the beer is always good.

That would be the stuff...actually, it's been so long since I've drank a run of the mill lager that I actually enjoyed both as a nice change...also, they helped wash the taste of Pina Coladas out of my mouth.
