I'd be interested to hear from any of the brewers who are coming out what they're bringing... Do we even have a full list of the breweries who are attending?

I'll be bringing a firkin of Captain Cascade, a 6.5 %abv ale with "sufficient hops", the variety used should be obvious.
BTW: Thanks for buying those 6 packs, I appreciate the support ( and my daughter needs diapers!)
I am tinkering with the idea of brewing and bottling one batch of a new beer. Tsarina Katarina Imperial Stout would be in the style of the Russian stouts brewed in the 1800's for the great Baltic trade. The recipe I have devised aims for a specific gravity of 1.090 and an abv of around 9%. This beer would be sold in 24's only, and would be available directly from me. Pricing would be around $75.00 per 24 bottle case (inc. deposit), which works out to around $3.00 per bottle. It would be vintage dated and would improve with cellaring. Is there any interest in such an offering?

Wow, I'm definitely down with that. That seems pretty affordable for an imperial stout.

Unfiltered and unfined? Regardless, count me in Perry! By the way, we're all out of bottled Sgt. Major's in Hamilton.

Salut Steve

Gunny, I delivered some to the Upper Gage & Fennell store on Wednesday afternoon. I also visited the store on Dundurn to see if they would be interested. No commitment from them yet though.

I will talk to Wanda at the Dundurn Store and put in a good word. My wife has become quite attached to the Sgt. Major's.

A bargain for a true baltic stout...and still cheeper than the 5$ a bottle Mill Street barley wine.
Aventinus rules!
