Gin Lane Ale

Post by old faithful »

I had this recently at the Granite and can't praise it enough. It is better than last year's, inaugural version. Last year's had an interesting, sherry-like taste. This year's is maltier and cleaner. This is a primo English-style strong draught ale yet so well made its various components don't obtrude in any way. Even the impressive 9% ABV is well-integrated in the whole. Lovely beer, the definition of fine craft brewing.

I had this last week.

Pleasant fuggles & goldings hops, some nice malt flavours, balanced bitterness, creamy, yet nicely attenuated body.

Oh so drinkable.
