Ran into Ken at Volo on Thursday, and it sounds like the Grand Opening will be a great time. See you all there.

Wow!

You have to like the attention to patrons, by supplying a bus to pick up loyal customers at the three sites. Good on ya Ken, classy!

I look forward to it. No mimes?

Cheers, Doug

Hey Ken, it also looks (from a quick Google maps search) like your new brewery is within easy walking distance of Mimico GO Station, which might be a convenient way for many to get home as well.

In case you miss the Magic Bus here are the options to get to Black Oak via TTC and Go Transit.

TTC: Take the Bloor Danforth subway to Islington station and transfer to Route 110 south and get off at the corner of Horner and Judson.

Go Transit: Take the Westbound Go Train to Long Branch. At Long Branch take TTC route 110 north to Horner and Judson.

Looking forward to Saturday :D

Or you can take the other GO train line that stops at Mimico, and walk about 15 minutes from the station to the brewery.

Who else is having a stirrup pint or two at Victory whilst awaiting the hippie bus? Several of us are going to be at the bar (or on the patio) for 2:30 ...

The Victory, as a general rule, doesn't open till 4. Have the natural laws been suspended for this occasion?

If the weather holds, the Victory will open at 2:00 P.M. today. Best to call ahead and check if you're hoping to have a pint before boarding the bus.

Great party! Thanks so much to Ken and the Black Oak crew for pulling off a fun launch party with great food and music and even better brews. Lots of familiar faces from Phil at King to our own Greg, great to see some of you regulars again or for the first time.

Best of luck in the new digs, Ken!

Cheers,
Rick.

Fantastic evening at Black Oak! The pale ale was in especially fine form I thought. Food was great. Chance to chat with a number of the local brewery folk (nice to see the industry supporting each other) and various fellow beer enthusiasts. Everyone seemed to be be having a great time despite the lack of mimes, which I would have thought risky but sure enough - good time had by all!

Anyways, great event, many many thanks to Black Oak and everyone who was working their butts off to make it happen last night. Cheers!

The mime couldn't make it as this happened just before;

I don't always piss in a bottle but when I do...I prefer to call it Dos Equis.
