CABA competition is coming up in early June, but it hasn't been posted on their website yet http://www.homebrewers.ca/competitions.php

As for homebrew clubs, I mentioned this in another thread: Build it, and they will come!

Huh I was already planning on doing two cherry beers and apparently they are doing a special Cherry section for CABA - I was going to use Festa Brew wort and specialty grains and other additions. Reading the rules it seems like thats fair game?

Edit - Doh! The cherry one is gone past. I suppose I could still enter them for MIM.

Their website is a little outdated. MIM was held in March, in Montreal.

The Great Canadian Homebrew Competition (GCHC) is coming up in June. It's in Toronto. They haven't posted the info on the website yet, but I did receive an email about it.

If you are looking for other Canadian comps, Edmonton puts on a big one at the end of May: http://www.ehg.ca/?q=abc/2009

Geeze you'd think they would put that in the title or something! :) Thanks Mark. I need to read more carefully apparently.

True enough. Brewers are scattered all over so you just need to find the brewers in the right areas. I'm in Oakvilll and would love to meet up with others in the area.

Cheers,
J

Here is an old list of homebrew clubs in Ontario. The copyright on the page is 1999 but it might be a place to start.

Join Caba www.homebrewers.ca

Membership only $10 per year plus costs of events. It's a good time and many great brewers there.

Typically at the Rhino Bar and Grill on Queen W. in Parkdale (Queen and Dufferin). It's a small local bar but has an awesome assortment of Micro's and always a cask on pull (weekends). Currently it's Hop Addict by County Durham - awesome stuff if you like bombs.

driving to TO for homebrew meetings is not something id ever do. if a group of homebrewers wanted to get together for a big homebrew tasting thatd be something id be interested in.
