Cask Ale Crawl 2010 - May 7-9

Post by GregClow »

Building on the Golden Tap Award winning success of last year’s Cask Ale Crawl, CASK! will be presenting the 2nd annual edition during the weekend of May 7th to 9th 2010.

At least six participating pubs across downtown Toronto have confirmed so far:

Granite Brewery, 245 Eglinton Ave East
Volo, 587 Yonge St
The Rhino, 1249 Queen St West
C’est What?, 67 Front St East
Mill St. Brewpub, 55 Mill St
Ceili Cottage, 1301 Queen St East

The crawl begins at 5:00 pm on Friday May 7th and goes until Sunday May 9th while supplies last. Pick up a passport at any of the participating pubs. Have your passport stamped at each pub to be entered into the prize draw.

A list of the cask ales that will be available will be posted on the CASK! website later this week.

Looking forward to this one, as I think it was my favourite Toronto beer event from last year.

I was just going to ask that. Last minute notice does not exactly lend itself to weekend planning.

Shame I will miss it (but not that disappointed) as I am flying to Europe tomorrow. Will likely post up during the trip.

Have fun on the crawl everyone. Don't forget TTC day pass good for two adults on Sat/Sun, great way for a pair to get around.

Patrick from Ceili Cottage just tweeted that he'll be featuring "County Durham IPA" for the Crawl. Not sure if that's Hop Head or Hop Addict (a delicious rarity on cask), but it's win-win either way.

CASK posted a list of beers, but not where they can be found. I guess that's their sneaky tactic to get you crawling! :)

So by process of elimination, can we assume the following will be at either C'est What or Rhino?

Black Oak Hop Bomb
C'est What Al's
Cheshire Valley Mild
Grand River Mild
Grand River Plowmans
Neustadt L'Ale
Sgt Major IPA

(Guessing that the three Durhams will appear at Ceili over the course of the weekend).

Hmmm, I wonder why the Victory Cafe isn't a part of the crawl this year...

I'll be hitting Volo tomorrow and the Rhino on Saturday. Nice lineups all-around. Congrats to CASK! for another great event.
