As Josh reports in his article today, the next two LCBO brewery features (following Dieu du Ciel) are Harviestoun and Norrebro.

Hopefully the rolllout is better than what we have seen with the DDC feature. I understand much of it is likely due to LCBO structures, but I have yet to see a comprehensive list of which 25 stores were included, and the many of the stores seem to be getting only 1 or 2 of the 5 products that are supposed to be featured, and at the two stores I've visited that had DDC products, employees lacked any knowledge about the feature.

This information has been available on the HMH website for quite some time now - although it's a little hidden.icemachine wrote:Hopefully the rolllout is better than what we have seen with the DDC feature [...] I have yet to see a comprehensive list of which 25 stores were included
Visit http://www.hmhnegotiants.com/ddcfeature2.html and click on "Product Availability" at the bottom of the page. It will bring up a Google map with all participating LCBO stores and restaurants/bars listed.
Something got messed up. I was all set to road trip to Oakville but they only received 1 product. It was 5 products at 25 stores, now 1 was delayed probably till the end of the month, that can happen. Stores who were on the list didn't receive product, stores did who weren't. Some products are at 30+ stores and other products less than 20 stores.icemachine wrote:Hopefully the rolllout is better than what we have seen with the DDC feature. It makes it a little frustrating, "Hey look I have money in my hand and want to buy your product but I cant". But hey there are other products available.

Let's hope that this new LCBO format will be successful - it certainly provides a great opportunity to bring in some very exciting beers that would otherwise have a pretty tough path to the shelves through seasonal or other releases. Even if we have to travel a little further to a participating store, it is still worth supporting this initiative. By that we don't only refer to Nørrebro Bryghus' chance to introduce some of its beers to Ontario - Dieu du Ciel and Harviestoun should be supported to the fullest extent. They, just like our Danish friends, have certainly done a great deal of work so that their products will be here in the coming weeks and months.
If we make these first two or three features a success, it is fair to expect a bigger number of participating stores, a widening of the target area, an increased order or product numbers and more importantly, more frequent brewery features with bolder and better offerings.
We feel that the LCBO's brewery feature is one of the best ideas that has been brought to fruition in many years. The questions is really what we, collectively and individually, can do to ensure its success and its growth.
Let's all go out and get Dieu du Ciel and Harviestoun, enjoy it and remember to share it with friends and family.
Be proud that some of the offerings are quite exclusive - not just from the Ontario perspective. Some of the beers will be available only on this market ... Back in February we shipped some 160 liters of the finest Ontario maple syrup to be used in one of the featured beers. It will only be available here in Ontario.
Cheers!

I will support any new products and will re-purchase, as long as everyone gets a chance, until the stock is no longer available. I've bought the OD 12, the St. A. Russian Stout, any product that is new and talked about here I have bought, all I ask is fair distribution.dutchcanuck wrote:R&R I look forward to supporting these exclusive releases if I don't have to drive 45 minutes to an hour to get them.
To drive from Hamilton to Guelph to buy 1 bottle of Derniere Volonte when 2 stores in TO have 2600 bottles is asking a bit much.
