Very exciting things happening in Guelph on the Father's day kickoff.
Details to come very soon, but let's just say that if you live around here, you now have plans for the 17th! :)

We'll be a part of the kickoff to OCB Week with a Father's Day Brewer's Backyard event at the Brick Works.

We're calling it the "Father's Day Triathlon" and the three components of the triathlon includes Evergreen's Ride the Ravines event in the morning, and our Brewer's Backyard which is the official after-party.

We'll have food from Death Row Meals, which will include Zane Caplansky of Caplansky’s, Jennifer Johnson of Fisherfolk, Rossy Earle of SupiCucu, and Aman Patel of Indian Rice Factory.

There will be live music by the Marni Levitt Collective and Jerry Leger & The Situations, along with bike stunts and tricks.

And last but certainly not least we'll have Amsterdam as our featured brewery, who will be bringing a load of different beers.

I already started another thread for it, but I might as well mention here that I'm hosting a Canadian Beer News Dinner during OCB Week - a "beer vs. wine" dinner featuring Amsterdam Brewery & Flat Rock Cellars at Beast Restaurant.

Perhaps the coolest bit is that it will feature the debut of the first brewery/winery collaborative beer ever made in Ontario. Flat Rock winemaker Ross Wise was a brewer back in New Zealand, and he stopped by Amsterdam a few weeks back to whip up something special for the night.

Anyone know if Great Lakes is taking over Burger Bar all week or if its listed multiple days by mistake?

Yeah, those dozens and dozens of Mill Street beer & cheese events make it pretty difficult to find any other events, don't they? Pretty goddamn annoying.

Will Bryden's have bunks and sleeping bags, so I simply don't need to go home?

Also - has anyone ever seen Steamwhistle in a collaboration???

When is this craziness happening?

It starts this Sunday and the beers will be tapped throughout the week.

Steamwhistle brewer Erica Graholm participated. Although they obviously have a very specific business plan, they encouraged her to be part of this OCB collab - which is pretty cool IMO

Erica (I believe) has done stuff with House Ales before as well?

I may need to get a Metropass for OCB week!
