My beer of the year goes to Hopfenstark - Berlin Alexanderplatz. Here are 10 others that I tried for the first time and loved this year (in no order):
Central Waters - Peruvian Morning
Jolly Pumpkin - La Roja
Bellwoods - Bring out Your Dead
Le Trou Du Diable - Dulcis succubus
Cantillon - Fou' Foune
Dieu du Ciel - Peche Mortel Réserve Spéciale (fût Bourbon)
The Alchemist - Heady Topper
Otter Creek / Lawson's Finest Liquids - Double Dose IPA
Lagunitas - Lagunitas Sucks
Dogfish Head - Palo Santo Marron
Though I still have three different geuzes from 3 Fonteinen and three from Bruery planned to try this year. I expect those to be good.

I only put 28 ratings on RB this year, which is only a small sample of what I did have (how did I miss rating Jai Alai when I drank at least 18 of them?) so I'll draw on a slightly faulty (I think we know the reasons why) memory here

It's funny you say that. I hadn't had Pliny in well over a year (maybe almost 2) and on a Cali trip this summer I had it and thought it was terrible. Thought it must have been an off keg. Had it again two days later and it was just as disappointing. Then the next day I found Blind Pig on tap and WOW!!! It is so much better than Pliny.Kekumba wrote:
