This festival did everything right. 1500 people on Friday, probably about the same Saturday, but you'd never know it. So much space. Georgeous spot on the water. Tons of food trucks, several with a veg focus or at least options. No drunk and disorderlies. Everyone having a good time.
It didn't have the crazy selection or super special one-offs of some of the larger fests, but most of the 25 participants brought out 1 or 2 special or at least interesting brews. Kudos esp. to Garden brewers for debuting their Piperales (which was killer!) and Sawdust for bringing out their first mortar and bricks brew (which was keller!).
Congrats to the organizers on an excellent job. We all hope this is the first of many Because Beer fests. Congrats to Hamilton for continuing it's reimvention.

10 year old thread resurrection! Anyone going to Because Beer this weekend? I'll be there Friday for Billy Talent and Cancer Bats
We should have a special GIF when an ancient thread comes back to life!
I've always wanted to go as I've heard good things over the years. Alas, heading up to a cottage this weekend.

I like the gif thing, but it's got to be the minimum number of pixels possible. I propose a closeup of a gusher/foam over from a 'cellared' (AKA LCBO new old stock) Trafalgar bottle with some sort of oracle rising from the mess. Can you code HTML scratch and sniff? That would really round it out.
