Scotch-Irish Santa Claws Christmas Cake Porter

Christmas may be over for another year, but there are still some great local holiday beers available on tap at various spots around town.

Joining the selection this week is Santa Claws Christmas Cake Porter, a one-off cask ale created by Perry Mason at Scotch-Irish Brewing. Described as tasting like "a Christmas cake in a glass", this holiday treat is a porter flavoured with currants, plums, raisins, figs, dates and cinnamon.

A single firkin of the beer has been dropped off at Volo, where it will be tapped on Friday, December 29th. It's unlikely to last long, so arrive early to avoid disappointment.
