Black Creek Brews Fest - Event Announcement & Ticket Giveaway

The Black Creek Brews Fest, a celebration of Ontario's rich brewing heritage and today's craft brewers, will take place at Black Creek Pioneer Village on August 25th and 26th, 2007. Some of Ontario's finest microbreweries - including Church-Key, Great Lakes, Robert Simpson and more - will be on hand to share their wares and their passion for the craft.

The Brews Fest will provide visitors with an opportunity to learn about the art and history of beer making, sample different varieties of beer from the people who brew it, and enjoy a full day of food and live music in a beautiful historic setting. Black Creek Pioneer Village will be open throughout the event making this a family-friendly outing for visitors of all ages.

The Fest will offer two packed days of beer tasting, presentations, and demonstrations, including a re-enactment of a Temperance Rally against the "evils of drink" as seen from an 1860s perspective. Live music will include the brilliant vocal harmonies of Tanglefoot and the raucous alt country sound of Elliott Brood.

The first annual Black Creek Brews Fest runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, August 25 and Sunday, August 26, 2007 at Black Creek Pioneer Village, 1000 Murray Ross Parkway, Toronto (one block east of Jane St., south off Steeles Avenue, right next to York University). Admission to the Brews Fest is free with regular admission to the Village ($13 for adults, $12 for seniors and students, and $9 for children 5-14). Black Creek Pioneer Village has generously provided The Bar Towel with five family passes, good for admission for two adults plus children on either Saturday or Sunday.
