August 10, 2009Field to Firkin Fridays at Black Creek Historic BreweryEvery Friday evening in August and September starting at 6:30 PM, the Black Creek Historic Brewery is holding an event called "Field to Firkin". Here's the description from the brewery website: ----- Visit the Black Creek Historic Brewery in the evening and take in the timeless mood of the Village at dusk, when the crowds have gone home. The Friday evening Field to Firkin experience gives adults a chance to meet the Brewmaster and taste beer brewed the old-fashioned way – with natural ingredients and no chemicals or artificial filtration. Join the popular tour of the brewery and meet some colourful characters along the way. Afterwards, relax with your friends in the pub or restaurant and find out why everyone loves our homemade root chips. Enjoy! The first pint is on us. $15 per person, $13 for members (plus taxes and gratuities) ----- As a special offer to Bar Towel readers, the folks at Black Creek are offering a discounted admission of $10 for all Fridays in August. All you have to do is provide them with some feedback at the end of the evening to let them know how they're doing. To get the discounted rate, call the number above and identify yourself as a "public reviewer". If they ask where you found out about the offer, tell them Bar Towel.
