Hello All:

I'm making my somewhat regular pilgrimage to
Premier within the next week, and since I'm usually totally overwhelmed by the selection,
I was wondering, is there a product listing for the 700 + beers they carry ?

I know the website says there'll be a searchable database, but that's been there for a while

This time maybe some fall ales,
but I'm always a sucker for a good heavy stout...
The duty will kill ya if you load up,
but you could try saying you bought groceries...
Premier does sell cheese afterall

Any ideas on a list ?

Cheers

Dave

You can view a PDF of their beer selection as of August 2001 here:

Lyle, if you have a newer beer listing I'd be happy to replace the one I have on the site currently.

Dave, If you want to get a Stout I would buy Deep Shaft Stout from the Freeminer Brewery of Gloucestershire England. While I have yet to taste this beer (I'm having a tasting Sat. afternoon) the description in the CAMRA Good Bottled Beer Guide is: A powerful beer with the colour of black coffee. Coffee also features(with malt in the aroma and dominates the long, dry finish, withbitterness and some liquorice. In-between, the tastemixes a little dark fruit with coffee and bitter roast grain

These are the other beers that myself and a few lads will be trying Saturday: Hogs Back T.E.A, Mordue Radgie Gadgie, Coniston Bluebird Bitter, Cropton Monkmans Slaughter, Hampshire Pride of Romsey IPA, Gales Festival Mild, Fullers ESB and two New York State micros Middle Ages Beast Bitter and Cooperstown Old Slugger Pale Ale.

If you want to check out some pubs I suggest
Pizza Plant in Williamsville,Alternative brews in Amherst and Colter Bay on Delaware in downtown Buffalo. Colter Bay has Sierra nevada Pale Ale on tap, although it's served ice cold.

Lyle, I would have liked to buy Young's Special London Ale but the expiry date was Oct. 2002 and when I bought this beer in March in Michigan the best before date was May 2002. The first time I had this beer it had a 12 month expiry date and it was extremely hoppy. When I mentioned this to one of your work mates they said they just had a bottle and it wasn't hoppy. This sounds that either Young's has stop shipping fresh stock or the importer is just trying to unload his remaining inventory. Do you know what the real reason is ?
