Sleeman ad - I don't get it

OK, there's this new billboard ad for Sleeman Honey Brown that I just don't get.

It has a photo of a can of their crappy beer, and the ad copy reads:

"Other honey browns are just that."

So they're just... brown? Honey? WHAT???

Argh.

I thought it was just me. Thanks for the peace of mind Greg. Now there are at least two of us that don't get it. Just for that test of my intellect, I am boycotting Sleeman's products.

As far as I can tell, the word "other" is the one you should be paying attention to... meaning that all Honey Browns are imposters to the real deal Sleeman's. Therefore, they are just the "other" honey browns.

Hmmm... I haven't had enough to drink... my brain seems to be working today

In that case, they should hire a new copy writer, 'cause not only is the meaning of the ad hard to understand, it's not very effective even when you DO understand it.

But hey, I'm sitting here drinking Aventinus, so fuck shit damn Sleeman's and their shitty-ass Honey Brown.
