Here's a poem I wrote a few years back that I'm now ready to share with all of you.

I do ask two things of you though... have a beer ready at hand and read the poem aloud, with feeling!

Here we go...

--------------------------

Beer Aficionado

Have you ever looked at a frosty beer bottle
As it shimmers in the never ending sunlight?
Droplets form and skate over the label
catching the sun's rays and blinding your sight.

The perfect blend of yeast, hops and barley
Swim in unison in their golden home.
Bubbles trickle to the top ever so gently
And rest together in a pool of white foam.

The aroma overwhelms your senses
As you raise the bottle closer to destiny.
Your nostrils tingle, your throat tenses
And your eyes are focused with intensity.

Your tongue screams with ecstacy
As you pour the contents into your mouth.
Your tonsils tickle with fancy
As the miracle liquid heads south.

Half empty or half full; it doesn't matter.
What's important is an abundant supply.
So that the next time you need more than just water,
Your system will thank you until the day you die.

--------------------------

You may grab for your drink now... and enjoy!
