Have you tried this year's vintage yet: can you recommend it? I have found this beer to vary in quality between outstanding and flawed (the vintage two years ago was rife with diacetyl). Up until 6 or 7 years ago, this beer was truly a wonderous syrup to behold. I hope they have found their form again this year.

Daniel:
I have tried it, but in an overzealous attempt to do so (per your post above on varying quality) I did not take into account the sluggishness of my tastebuds due to a two day assault by "Fisherman's Friends". I couldn't discern any subtleties but I did have a warm glow on when all was said and done. I will try another when I'm back in shape.

I had a sample at the C'est What fest and found it more rounded than previous years, but a little blunt - no real complexity and definitely not "back to form". Sad to say, I think this is lost forever.
