Cass,
I have a few comments about things that I read on this forum yesterday.
There is a post mocking the disabled.
There is a thread claiming that a certain new pilsner is too expensive and perhaps not good value.(sounds familiar) The Brewer isn't here to complain or to run off in a huff so I guess that there's no harm done except of course to his reputation. His beer has clearly been branded as too expensive "a whopping 35% more" and not good value by the experts. For the record, I tried the beer and it seemed ok to me. Didn't notice the price. Gave her a ten and got some coins back.
I agree with several people that have indicated, that all things considered, this is a pretty tame forum. I guess everyone draws the line in a different place. For me there are two kinds of forums and one line. There's the one where they call each other everything but criminals and then, when they cross the line to the other one - they call each other criminals. As sure as the devil flew the loggers back to Montreal on Christmas Eve, we were all transported over that line yesterday. There are people on this forum that own and/or operate bars. I have no idea if the post was put on here for their benefit or not. Frankly, with all the phony names it's not possible to know who's on here anyway. There's nothing in the post that's not true or correct. I think that it was a brave thing to do and I hope that Claude doesn't suffer because of it. There's nothing new about kickbacks and bribes in the beer industry and in many other industries. It is however a serious problem and a crime. There are cases before the courts on this issue and there have been convictions in the past.
I stand by my statement that an insider can come on this forum and say anything that he wants, up to and including allegations of criminal behaviour. Cass , you seem to be more concerned about the tone of things than the content. There was some very ugly content on this forum yesterday but since it was posted by insiders, nothing was said.
PS, Joe please get off my back. If you continue I will have no choice but to defend myself and in the long run that won't benefit anyone. I'm not threatening you or even warning you - I'm making a simple polite request however I won't ask again.
Bailey
