This place always struck me as kind of a James Joyce clone, from the outside at least. Had a big mural with Kilkenny, Guinness, etc., on the outside, so you might imagine I was a little sceptical.

So I've been here, two steps away from it, and I didn't go in until about 3 weeks ago. I've been walking all the way down to the Bedford Academy for a pint (a shiite-y one at that)... but the Pour House has cask ale! Wellington Arkell. I nearly punched myself. The food was alright (I had the chicken curry) with slightly larger than normal selection. Service was good too. They do have televisions, though, so be warned.

So, if I'm allowed to pun, I'm a bit bitter.
