Summer 2004 preview

The LCBO has made their selections for the Summer 2004 promotion and although there are a number of repeats of 2003 items, I can tell you that they are buying HopBack Summer Lightning from the UK as well as our fabulous wheat beer, Brussels White, from Brouwerij Sint Jozef.

All of this is excellent news, but I am especially pleased to know that Hopback Summer Lightning will be coming in again.

After the disappointing Autumn releases, all the news regarding the LCBO's range has been nothing but positive.

Before you get too happy there is good and bad news coming regarding next year's promotions....starting with the Summer Promo, the promos will be extended from 8-12 weeks and, as a result, larger quantities will be purchased, enough to hopefully last the length of the promo. The bad news is only 4 promos per year and definitely fewer products to be purchased than in this and past years. At one time VINTAGES was buying in the range of 60 beers a year...we'll probably see this go down to about 40.

Could you please elaborate on which Summer beers are being repeated?

Also, I assume that the Spring 2004 selection has also been determined, but I have not seen any word regarding what is coming in (or I have forgotten). Does anybody on here know?
