Echoing what Napalm Frog said, it's a nice space. They do fun events and usually have some interesting beers.
The Mexican street food is always good too.
It's not far from Henderson or Bandit.

Re: Beer & Brewing Critiques & Pet Peeves
Any brewery that doesn't have a Tap List available somewhere (on their website, on Untappd, etc) Most recent local (to me) example for this is Left Field Brewery. They used to show a full list of beers on their homepage, and what was available online, at Liberty Village, and at Wagstaff. Numerous t...

Athletic is great, and I'm not just saying that because I'm an Ambassador, lol.
But I did purposefully only mention Canadian N/A beer options in my last post

They will definitely have to do a collab beer with Outlaw Brew Co.

Re: Non-Alcoholic Beer
Nice read, I fall into this 75% category:
A 2024 report by marketing agency NIQ highlights that 75 per cent of non-alcoholic beverage consumers in Canada also purchase alcohol products — not necessarily replacing alcohol but integrating it into a more balanced lifestyle.

Re: beer (alcohol) and health
So apparently carbs are a big factor in blood cholesterol, and now I've gotta take lowering it seriously, so sadly my beer consumption is down to almost zero these days; at least until a get a handle on things. I figure lower ABV filtered beers will have the lowest net carbs, but some of the non-al...

Re: LCBO & the Trade Wars
I would imagine breweries willing to ship direct to home, no LCBO involvement, would be fine? But we shall see how it works. One thing people don't seem to realize, is a lot of breweries in other provinces don't ship anywhere, or only within their own city. We are kind of spoiled that so many brewer...

Re: Breweries closing and/or restructuring and/or bought out
Never made it to the Aviary.
I remember being at The Dock Ellis some time ago and all beers were from Longslice.
Apparently the same owners, from what the bartender told me. I guess they will be pouring other beers now.

Re: Breweries closing and/or restructuring and/or bought out
Anyone heard news about Northern Maverick? The one time (in a long time) I thought about going last month, they were randomly closed. Their website doesn't work now (malware I think...don't check it, lol), and their Instagram is pretty quiet. My favourite beer from them was when they were still a co...

Re: Best Ontario Beer to Stockpile?
Deadline fast approaching
I was thinking of stocking up on a nice saison, like Saison Dupont (I know, not Ontario...but it's on sale) or Saison de la Meuse.
Then I realized I have too much beer to drink already, so no stockpiling for me.

This growler talk reminds me I was going to take advantage of the Rhino growler deal, but remembered the annoying "must buy food" part. https://www.therhino.ca/draft Rhino Growler Takeout 32oz! Order draught to go – introducing the Rhino Growler Takeout 32oz! Get a 32oz to-go for the price...

Re: Bar Volo 2.0
College Volo has a mini Tilquin feature starting February 1st. All kegged stuff, which, in my experience, sometimes lacks versus their bottles. I had the white peach in Aylmer and it was excellent. Abricot (Lambic W. Apricots) Clémentine (Lambic W. Clementines) Gueuze (Lambic Gueuze) Kriek De Schar...

Re: 100 Acre Brewing, Peterborough
100 Acres is a cool spot. Indoors was cozy and nice, but outdoors was vast, you can just stroll around while having your beer. Beers were solid, especially the double ipa, Painted. I quite liked their table beer too...cant remember the name of it. Go visit the new Canoe Museum in Peterborough and th...
