Favourite Canadian beer?

Are you trying to start a drunken brawl or something? Yeesh. It's really tough to pick one. But just for the hell of it, here are a few of my fave Canadian beers, out of those I've actually tasted:Jan Primus wrote:What, in your opinion, is the best Canadian made beer that you've tasted? For the sake of clarity please only select one, I'll start with:
Unibroue La Fin Du Monde
--Denison's Weissbier. It's world class.
--Trois Pistoles
--Dieu du Ciel Peche Mortel
--Dieu du Ciel Dernier Volonte
--St. Ambroise Oatmeal Stout
--Black Oak saison
I think my vote would be for Peche Mortel (although I liked it better a few years ago than the more recent samples I've had - seems to have gotten a bit less well balanced/integrated).
Another strong contender would be Biergotter's Hopocalypse Redux. Please, somebody give these guys a brewery.
Also, favourite widely available beer: Denison's Weissbier.

I once had a Barley wine from the Longwood brewpub that I thought was spot on. On a separate occasion, it was still very good, but not stellar. I guess that shouldn't be surprising from a cask ale.
La Terrible is right up there, but as far as I know, it was only brewed once and it's no longer available (plenty of other great Unibroues though).
DDC Péché Mortel is great, and probably the best thing currently available. So I guess if I really had to pick a current one, that'd be it (their Déesse Nocturne is quite good too).
One that hasn't been mentioned is Phillips Amnesia Double IPA, which is also an impressive brew, though some would argue about its balance for the style.
Locally, I'd put the nutcracker porter at the top of my list (I think it's even better than the highly regarded Edmund Fitzgerald).

Is the Aphrodisiaque the one you drink if you got laid last night?lister wrote:Borrowing from Rob that "beer flavour is subjective by how you feel that day, how the weather is changing and whether or not you got laid last night", I'll plead that I can't pick just one but I have narrowed them down to four:
Black Oak Nutcracker
Dieu du Ciel Aphrodisiaque
Denison's Weissebier
Nickel Brook Green Apple Pilsner
