Yes it IS a little hoppy, ha ha... it's a Mutant Ale. Freaking love how well it works though!iguenard wrote:
I stick to mine, as I thought that hopfen weisse was overhopped and it hurt the delicate wheat beer... completely not my taste. The Weisse though, is a refreshing, balanced, fruity delight. To each his own I guess.
But on the recc I might try the Weisse at the Rhino a few more times, it's beer that just seemed a bit too sweet and bland the one time I had it. I think you are more out near the Québec influence and there are so many amazing, subtle beers there, many belgian-brewing influenced with a wheaty roundness and an emphasis on harmony of flavors. I even think DDC's "British" style beers tend to carry a French and Belgian attitude, or at least some of the accent. It's a huge food culture out that way (but I digress...)

Nice choice Eric! Not my favourite, but to each their own! Meaning, I like it in the bum.
Well played sir! I just spit my beer out laughing.

These ones just dawned on me... Moretti La Rossa and Leffe Radieuse (singles or 3/6-packs).
Two extremely good strong reds for after hockey games.
