Only 12 bottles have been made and each comes with its own certificate and is presented in a stuffed stoat or grey squirrel. The striking packaging was created by a very talented taxidermist and all the animals used were road kill. This release is a limited run of 11 bottles, 7 stoats and 4 grey squirrels.
I wonder if they'll get any press from PETA? (or perhaps they just don't care about roadkill)?

I never realized the bottle was actually embedded inside a dead animal.

I think it's brilliant - brewing meets Damien Hirst.

Looks like the folks at Advocates for Animals and Alcohol Focus Scotland, are not very happy with this beer.

It makes me smile (as does reading the BA thread about it). I don't care about world's strongest beer, but as someone with a marketing background I have to say these guys play the media like a fiddle. The genius of bottling in a dead rodent! Its awesome - really makes you step back and remember that beer is supposed to be fun and that sometimes we can all take it a little too seriously.

A stoat!

The ashtray is also a nice touch.

A truly brilliant publicity stunt. It'll be a hard one for them to top. And now that they have pushed the envelope just about as far as it can go, here's hoping they channel some of that energy into making better beer.
