I've found this place called the Stout Irish Pub. Is that any good?

I've heard good things about the Blake House on Jarvis, but I have yet to try it.

Stout is pretty good. Their beer selection is definitely above the average bar, though I've never eaten there so I can't vouch for the food.

Volo is only 10-12 minutes away by foot.

They're actually all within walking distance ha ha. At least that's my experience.

But C'est What is definitely close enough to the Phoenix. Nothing motivates me like good food and an expansive, ever-changing Ontario Craft beer tap list...

In addition to Volo of course.

According to Google Maps C'est What is a 30 minute foot trek to the Phoenix. That's a little further than I want to walk in February weather unfortunately. Looks like Volo or Stout Irish Pub will be the winner.

Stout is a nice pub with an above-average draught selection. Considering it's right around the corner it's a pretty good spot.

OK maybe it's a shitty cold walk to CW if you're not 6' 6" and wearing full-on arctic down.

I admit i'm a bar snob - aren't we all though?

We are indeed, but I think my hatred of cold weather trumps my love of beer. If it were the summer I'd have no issues making that walk though. Having recently made my first visit to C'est What and having loved it, I am itching to go back. My next ACC or SkyDome event will be the next chance.
