The Fat Belgian

Those saddened by the recent closure of Café Brussel may find a bit of solace at The Fat Belgian (115 John St.), a recently opened restaurant and bar located just a few steps from longtime Bar Towel favourite Smokeless Joe. While their food and beer are not exclusively Belgian, they do offer the ubiquitous mussels & frites, and rumours of an InBev-dominated beer line-up have proven false, with the current tap list including Delerium Tremens, Erdinger Weissbier, De Koninck and Fruli.
