New Imports from Roland + Russell

Import agents Roland + Russell have announced several new additions to their import portfolio:

Panil Birra Artigianale (Italy)
Brewers of the renowned sour ale Panil Barriquée as well as an assortment of other handcrafted artisanal beers.

Brunehaut (Belgium)
Microbrewery in the Walloon region specializing in traditional Abbey styles.

Isle of Skye Brewing (Scotland)
12-year-old microbrewery brewing traditional Scottish/UK ales.

These three breweries join R+R's already impressive international line-up which includes O'Hanlon's/Thomas Hardy's (UK), Schloss-Eggenberg (Austria), Les Brasseurs de Gayant (France) and Southern Tier (US).

In addition, R+R is now representing Ashridge Cider, an artisanal cidery from Devon, UK. And for those who like the hard stuff, Del Maguey Single Village Mezcal to their line-up of spirits from around the world.

Rogue & Dogfish Head Arrive in Toronto

The renowned U.S. microbreweries Rogue and Dogfish Head have arrived in Toronto and are available at certain local establishments:

Caffe Volo - Dogfish 90 Minute IPA, Rogue Hazelnut Brown, Brutal Bitter, Dead Guy Ale.

Smokeless Joe - Dogfish Shelter Pale Ale, 60 Minute IPA, Aprihop, 90 Minute IPA, Rogue Hazelnut Brown, Mocha Porter, Shakespeare Stout, Brutal Bitter, Dead Guy Ale, Russian Imperial Stout, 2004 Old Crustacean.

Academy of Spherical Arts - Rogue Hazelnut Brown, Shakespeare Stout and St. Rogue Red.

Beerbistro - Dogfish 90 Minute IPA, Rogue Hazelnut Brown, Rogue Shakespeare Stout, Brutal Bitter and the 1998, 1999, 2000, 2004 Old Crustacean.

New French and Belgian beers arrive

A selection of new French and Belgian beers have arrived in select Toronto bars and restaurants courtesy Esprit Agencies. Remember that these are not available for purchase at the LCBO.

Smokeless Joe now offers from La Choulette: Ambree, Blonde, Peche, Framboise, Brune, Biere des Sans Culottes and Tour d'Ostrevant; from Achel: 8 and Bruin; from Floreffe: Double and La Meilleure; Newton Apple Beer and from the U.K., Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout. Many of these beers are exclusive to Smokless Joe, so they won't last long.

A number of other establishments in Toronto received some of these beers as well.

The Esplanade Bier Markt now offers La Choulette Ambree and Blonde, Floreffe Double, Sam Smith's Oatmeal Stout and Achel 8.

The Riverside Cafe on Queen St. East and Gamelle on College St. West now offer La Choullette Ambree and Blonde.

And finally, La Palette on Augusta in Kensington Market also now offers La Choulette Ambree and Blonde, Achel 8 and Bruin and Floreffe Double.
