September 21, 2003New French and Belgian beers arriveA selection of new French and Belgian beers have arrived in select Toronto bars and restaurants courtesy Esprit Agencies. Remember that these are not available for purchase at the LCBO. Smokeless Joe now offers from La Choulette: Ambree, Blonde, Peche, Framboise, Brune, Biere des Sans Culottes and Tour d'Ostrevant; from Achel: 8 and Bruin; from Floreffe: Double and La Meilleure; Newton Apple Beer and from the U.K., Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout. Many of these beers are exclusive to Smokless Joe, so they won't last long. A number of other establishments in Toronto received some of these beers as well. The Esplanade Bier Markt now offers La Choulette Ambree and Blonde, Floreffe Double, Sam Smith's Oatmeal Stout and Achel 8. The Riverside Cafe on Queen St. East and Gamelle on College St. West now offer La Choullette Ambree and Blonde. And finally, La Palette on Augusta in Kensington Market also now offers La Choulette Ambree and Blonde, Achel 8 and Bruin and Floreffe Double.
