Pub Profile: JAMES JOYCE

386 Bloor St. W

Directions: On the north side of Bloor St., in between Spadina Rd. and Bathurst St.

The Bloor St. strip's Irish representative, the James Joyce is a smallish pub offering standard pub fare, with perhaps a few more ales from the United Kingdom than Madison or Paupers. The James Joyce also has frequent bands to entertain the crowd. Be warned, however, that the band plays LOUD. Polite beer conversation becomes quite difficult.

Somewhat recommended.
